A Winter Public Library Card

All residents, property owners, and visitors to the Winter area are welcome to apply for a library card from the Winter Public Library. You will be asked to fill out a simple application form, and children under the age of 14 are required to have a parent/guardian sign their application. Your card can be used to order from the online Merlin catalog, a library catalog shared by 28 member libraries. Your library card can be used at any of the Merlin Libraries.

The Library Catalog

The Merlin catalog is shared by 28 libraries and allows you to search and reserve Books, CDs, DVDs, videos, audio books, and more. Items you reserve will be delivered to the library of your choice and you will be notified when they are ready to pick up. The online catalog can also be used to view your account and renew items you currently have checked out.

The library computers with high speed Internet and Microsoft Office software are available for public use.

The library Wi-Fi network is available to wireless devices within range. The Wi-Fi is unfiltered and the library is not responsible for securing the data transmitted over our WiFi network. No password is required, and the WiFi network is normally available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.

Printing is available from the library's computers for a nominal fee.

E-Reader Information

Information for borrowing an ereader is available at the desk. If you have an ereader, titles are available to download from the Wisconsin Digital Media Center.
